Robson Place, West End Rental Towers and the Quiet Density of Downtown Vancouver

From this angle, the West End reads the way it actually works: not “downtown” versus “neighbourhood,” but a tight overlap of homes, streets, and daily errands stacked within a few blocks of the business district. Robson Place at 777 Cardero St and 1675 Robson St is part of that fabric, a 22-storey market rental building with retail at grade that slots into the Robson corridor’s constant churn of foot traffic. 

The West End itself is boxed in by big edges, Stanley Park and English Bay on one side, Burrard Street and West Georgia on the other, which is exactly why its internal streets feel so lived-in: there isn’t much room to sprawl, so the city learned to compress.
